Member Pledge

Code of Ethics

Every Seniornicity member agrees to uphold these principles. This is what makes our network different and why families trust us.

Our Promise to Each Other and to the Families We Serve

Seniornicity exists because families navigating senior transitions deserve a community of professionals they can trust completely. Every member of Beach Cities commits to these principles as a condition of membership.

Violations of this code can result in loss of verified status and membership termination.

1

Families First, Always

The wellbeing of seniors and their families is our highest priority.

Every decision, referral, and recommendation must be made with the senior's best interest as the guiding principle. We never prioritize commissions, fees, or business relationships over the care, safety, and dignity of the families we serve. If a family's needs are better served by a professional outside our network, we guide them there with honesty and without hesitation.

2

Integrity in Every Referral

Referrals are based on merit, trust, and fit. Never on kickbacks or quid pro quo.

We refer to fellow members because we trust their work and believe they are the right fit for the family. Not because of reciprocal agreements, hidden fees, or financial incentives. Seniornicity strictly prohibits paid referral arrangements, finder's fees, or any compensation for referrals between members. The only currency in our network is trust.

3

Confidentiality & Privacy

What is shared in our community stays in our community.

Members protect the privacy of families, fellow professionals, and sensitive case information. We do not share client names, contact information, health details, or financial circumstances without explicit written consent. Discussions about cases at chapter meetings use anonymized information only. We comply with all applicable privacy laws including HIPAA where applicable.

4

Professional Respect & Collaboration

We lift each other up. Competition has no place in our chapter.

Members treat fellow members, families, and seniors with respect, empathy, and professionalism at all times. We do not disparage, undermine, or poach clients from fellow members. When a family is already working with another Seniornicity member, we support that relationship rather than competing for it. Our strength comes from collaboration, not competition.

5

Transparency & Honesty

We are upfront about services, fees, and limitations.

Members communicate clearly and honestly about their services, pricing, qualifications, and any limitations. We do not misrepresent credentials, experience, or capabilities. We disclose any potential conflicts of interest. If we cannot help a family, we say so, and connect them with someone who can.

6

Compliance with Laws & Regulations

We operate within all applicable laws and professional standards.

Members hold all required licenses, certifications, and insurance for their profession and jurisdiction. We comply with federal, state, and local laws governing our services, including fair housing laws, elder care regulations, and business practices. We maintain our credentials in good standing and notify the chapter of any changes to our professional status.

7

Continuous Improvement

We commit to growing our knowledge and elevating our standards.

Members actively participate in chapter meetings, educational opportunities, and professional development. We share knowledge generously with fellow members. We stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging needs in senior care. We seek feedback and use it to improve our services.

8

Accountability

We hold ourselves and each other to these standards.

Members who violate this code of ethics may have their Seniornicity Verified badge suspended or revoked, and their membership may be terminated. All members agree to report ethical concerns to the chapter director in good faith. Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern is strictly prohibited. We protect the integrity of our community together.
