Kit Baumann is the Founder and CEO of Senior Living Kit, LLC, a boutique senior living placement and advisory firm based in Cedar Park, Texas, serving families throughout Greater Austin and nationwide. A Certified Senior Advisor® (CSA®) and proud member of the National Placement and Referral Alliance (NPRA), Kit brings nearly 14 years of experience guiding adult children and their elderly loved ones through one of life's most emotional and consequential decisions: where and how to live well in their later years. Before founding Senior Living Kit, Kit spent her career inside senior living communities as a Director of Sales, where she sat across the table from thousands of families navigating assisted living, memory care, and independent living decisions — often in moments of crisis. That experience shaped her core belief: families deserve an advocate who works for them, not for a community's occupancy goals. Kit is known for her "Window of Opportunity" framework — the recognition that every senior has a finite period in which they can make a move proactively, on their own terms, rather than reactively in a crisis. Her mission is to help families recognize and act within that window, with clear-eyed guidance, deep local knowledge, and genuine compassion. Whether a family is just beginning to ask questions or facing an urgent transition, Kit walks alongside them through every step: assessing needs, touring communities, comparing options, and advocating fiercely for the right fit — at no cost to the family for placement services. Kit lives in Cedar Park with her husband Karl, their dog Hudson, and cat Emily.
