"It runs in the family" Some of the earliest memories that I have are spending time in senior care communities. In 1954, my great-grandparents, and grandparents, built two nursing homes, one in the Piedmont Triad and one in Western North Carolina. Since those doors first opened, our family has remained in the senior care industry, from skilled nursing and assisted living communities to home health. I am humbled to carry on our family tradition, now in our 71st year, of providing care to aging adults and families who need thoughtful, compassionate and engaging care to continue living their best lives possible. “There’s no place like home” After graduating from West Forsyth High School and going off to college, I pursued a career that took me from Washington D.C. to Charlotte and then Raleigh. After spending over a decade in the corporate sector, I knew I was being called back home and to the family business. After completing my MBA at Wake Forest University, an opportunity became available to come home and do just that. I have not looked back since and truly love every day that I get to come to work to serve alongside our dedicated and compassionate team members. "Dignity and joy are the keys to living your best life possible" If there’s one thing I’ve learned having grown up in this industry and being mentored by lifelong caregivers, it’s that nothing leads to happier and healthier lives than being able to live a life that maintains dignity and instills joy on a daily basis. That’s what makes this so much more than just a job. It’s a calling, and our family of caregivers get to answer that call every day.
