During my 16 years as a Realtor, I saw a need for seniors and their families so I set my sights on earning the designation of Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®). The designation is for REALTORS® who want to be able to meet the special needs of maturing Americans when selling, buying, relocating, or refinancing residential or investment properties. By earning the SRES® designation, REALTORS® are prepared to approach mature clients with the best options and information for them to make life-changing decisions. With that goal in mind, I formed a group of professionals called Wise Owl Advisors, who help seniors and their families navigate their golden years. The group does free seminars sharing the panel’s expertise and features a keynote speaker who specializes in a senior issue such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and other helpful topics. I draw upon the professionalism of my fellow advisors to help guide seniors and their families and provide valuable information regarding independent, assisted living and memory care, downsizing, elder care law as well as Medicare and long term care options. 08
