Mark has a Master’s in Public Administration and has severed in several roles throughout his professional career. His career started as a Nuclear Chemist for the Nevada Test Site and was quickly responsible for $120M annually in various projects ranging from environmental, medical, to our nations stockpile stewardship program. In 2000, Mr. Young relocated his family to Phoenix area he eventually worked for the Town of Queen Creek as their Intergovernmental Liaison. Since 2010, Mark has been in the Senior Living Industry. Opening ComForcare Home Care. He has been able to combine the skills of his professional past through medical, and managing, to consistently is rated as one of the top 4% of offices in the country by Home Care Pulse. With his vast experience and involvement with Arizona Non-Medical Home Care Association, he served on the board before becoming President. While at AZNHA he worked with the State Legislature to bring better protections for Senior and Disabled individuals by passing an education measure that the In-Home Care Association must abide to. This criterion educates the consumers on business practices and standards to better protect the individual. In 2015, Mark and colleague Presley Reader Co-Hosted Aging in Arizona, a radio dedicated to informing families and professionals serving our aging population. This show ran for 4 years before they wrote and published a book of the same title. In 2020, Mr. Young opened BuSY DAY Senior Club, a club for individuals with cognitive impairment. The grand Opening was 2 weeks before Covid hit the United States and put us into the challenges we have yet today. BuSY DAY was able to survive for two years, but new standards adopted by Department of Health Services made the ultimate goal of licensure unachievable, so it was determined to close the doors. Mark continues with ComForCare and celebrated 15 years.
