With a passion for helping seniors find the perfect placement for their needs, I am a dedicated Senior Placement Provider with a wealth of experience and expertise in the field. As a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), I have honed my skills in assessing the unique needs of each individual and matching them with the perfect living situation. Since 2019, I've helped over 2,500 Long Island families with critical decisions around support for seniors with dementia and physical challenges. My work in Senior Placement began with my own mother. She had dementia related to Parkinson's, and we were given two days to make a decision about Memory Care. Our only resource was a photocopied list of Memory Care communities! I realized then that there was a need for a calm, knowledgeable resource to help families with the critical decisions around placement. I sought out the best Placement company - Assisted Living Locators - and became Dementia Certified and a fully qualified Senior Advisor. Early in my career I was fortunate enough to work in various functions for world class medical product and service companies that included Johnson and Johnson, Baxter, and Columbia/HCA Hospitals. These companies provided what seemed like an endless series of training classes in all aspects of medicine. I use that training every day to provide what is considered my core contribution to senior placement - 18-24 Month Planning. I take in information about the senior's underlying health conditions and work to develop a plan for care 18-24 months AFTER placement. It does little good to have to move a senior soon after admission to Assisted Living, and my focus on planning for the 18-24 months after placement can help reduce the chance of this happening. Let me help you navigate the complex world of senior care placements with ease and confidence.
